His analysis of the economic landscape and potential policy shifts provided much to consider, particularly regarding the housing sector.
Housing remains a notable exception while the broader economy remains strong—with mid-2% growth, manageable unemployment, and growing real wages.
Holtz-Eakin also addressed critical tailwinds, including decreasing development starts, stable regulatory costs and oil prices, and headwinds, such as international uncertainty, fiscal policy challenges, and inflation management.
With these dynamics at play, the housing industry must focus on and accept innovative solutions to meet demand and affordability.
